First to Flower
Cheerful colour when the garden needs it most
If you love seeing the first daffodils of the year, this is a collection to look forward to. ‘Tamara’ and ‘Dunstan’s Fire’ are both extra-early flowering varieties, bringing cheerful colour to the garden from as early as January and continuing right through to April.
You’ll receive 14 premium bulbs in total, with 7 ‘Tamara’ and 7 ‘Dunstan’s Fire’, all a generous size of 14/16cm. Plant them in groups in borders or containers for a lovely early display, or mix them with later-flowering spring bulbs to keep the colour coming as the season moves on.
The flowers are also a welcome sight for early pollinators, providing a useful source of food at a time of year when there are fewer flowers around. And because daffodils are so easy to grow, you can simply plant the bulbs, let them get on with it and enjoy their return year after year.
At around 35–45cm tall, they’re a lovely size for the front or middle of a border and work particularly well in pots close to the house, where you can enjoy those first spring flowers from the window.
