One of the longest-flowering clematis, ‘Guernsey Flute’ is exceptional with pure white star-shaped flowers up to 14cm across. From May through July, and again in September, it produces a prolific display of elegant blooms with striking red anthers. Each flower begins as a just-opening bud, pausing in a delicate champagne-flute shape, giving the plant its charming name, before fully opening into flat, six-petalled beauties that are adored by bees and other pollinators.
Cute and compact, ‘Guernsey Flute’ grows to a mature height of 120cm with a spread of approximately 90cm. Ideal for the mid or front of a border or as a statement in patio containers, it delivers months of floral impact. Hardy to -15°C, this clematis thrives in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade, with its roots kept shaded. Reliable, low-maintenance, and endlessly charming, it’s a true standout for any garden.
