Geum ‘Sunrise’ is a cheerful and reliable perennial, producing bright golden-yellow, ruffled double flowers that seem to glow on slender, wiry stems. It brings a real lift to the garden from late spring onwards, carrying colour well into late summer when regularly deadheaded.
Its neat, clump-forming habit makes it ideal for the front of borders, where it sits comfortably among other perennials without becoming intrusive. The evergreen or semi-evergreen foliage provides useful structure and interest even when not in flower.
Thriving in full sun or partial shade, it prefers moist, well-drained soil and is easy to grow in most garden conditions. The flowers are excellent for cutting and are highly attractive to bees and other beneficial insects, making it a lovely choice for both beauty and wildlife value.
