Erodiums, commonly called heron’s bills or storksbills, often don’t get the recognition they deserve. In the same plant family as hardy geraniums and pelargoniums, these hardy, clump-forming perennials are very tough and hardy. They make an attractive addition to an alpine garden and can be used to add masses of ground-covering summer colour to the front of sunny borders or in patio containers. They flower from late spring, all the way through summer to early autumn. The foliage is very attractive and ornamental too, being gently scalloped and forming a soft mound. You will receive three great varieties.
Album forms a dense matt of grey-green leaves covered with white flowers with appealing magenta-red veins.
Bishop’s Form has pretty pale pink geranium-like flowers with deeper pink veins from May until November.
Flore Pleno has double, rose-pink, veined flowers from early spring to late summer.
