The autumn and winter are sometimes seen as “lean” or “famine” periods in the home vegetable garden, with very little to harvest and bring into the kitchen. But nothing could be further from the truth.
Our collection of autumn and winter harvesting vegetables contains five of the best varieties – all RHS AGM winners. They all taste delicious and will produce abundant crops throughout autumn and winter.
The seeds should be sown in spring.
They can be used in a variety of dishes and cooked in a number of different ways to bring great flavour, taste and variation to the lunch and dinner table.
