Dwarf French beans are easier to grow and crop than runner beans and produce brilliant crops when grown at home. Dwarf French beans are sold as extra fine or Kenyan beans in supermarkets. Safari is a great variety for gardeners, producing strong, vigorous and bushy plants that will produce masses of delicious, straight, tender and stringless green pods over a long period of time from repeat sowings. Measuring up to 12.5cm (5in) long, the succulent, tasty bean pods are held high on the plants, which makes them easy to pick. Safari also has good resistance to disease. Sow from April to June to harvest from June to September.
