Why we chose it: RHS AGM winner
- Sweet and tender carrots
- Harvest 12-14 weeks from sowing
- Good for freezing
- Each packet contains approx. 1,000 seeds
Considered by many to be the best carrot variety for extending the seasons, Amsterdam Forcing 3 can produce a crop as early as April from an outdoor January sowing under cloches or similar protection. And sow regularly throughout spring and summer for a continuous supply. The small, blunt-ended, bright orange roots are super sweet, and perfect for growing in pots or in the ground. They’re perfect for freezing if you overdo the sowing and have a glut! Sow from January to July to harvest from April to October.
