Why we chose it: RHS AGM winner
- Autumn/winter cropping
- Excellent club root resistance
- Rounded heads up to 4kg (9lb) in weight
- Each packet contains approx. 20 seeds
Launched in the noughties, Kilaton was developed to have great resistance to the scourge of brassica growers – club root disease. It produces large, ball-shaped heads, with a great green colour and lovely flavour, that can weigh anywhere between 2.5-4kg (5½-9lb). The heads stand well outside during autumn and winter coming through all weather, but also store well indoors with little loss of flavour. Sow from March to May to harvest in autumn/early winter.
