Why we chose it: RHS AGM winner
- Great taste
- Snowy white shanks
- Bred for UK conditions
- Each packet contains approx. 50 seeds
This British bred F1 variety leek is perfect for growing in the UK’s unpredictable weather and climate. Thanks to its F1 heritage, leek Oarsman has good early vigour, bulking up quickly, to produce thick, snowy white shafts topped with dark green leaves. Oarsman stands well in cold soil, providing great tasting harvests from autumn until early spring. It also shows good disease resistance to rust and resistance to bolting – going to seed prematurely. Sow from January to April to harvest from October to February.
