Vine weevil larvae (grubs) are one of the scourges of many gardeners – eating the roots of susceptible plants and killing them. Adult vine weevil beetles emerge from underground in spring, ready to lay their eggs into the soil and compost around suitable plants, resulting in another generation of grubs. They are active throughout summer.
Zee No Weevil provides a barrier between the compost or soil surface, so that adult vine weevil beetles are unable to lay their eggs, and so preventing the grubs.
Simply apply a layer of the granules to the compost surface or around susceptible plants.
This natural physical barrier is made from dried, crushed olive pomace (the dried left-overs from making organic olive oil) and aromatic Mediterranean herbs. These natural, non-toxic ingredients are attractive in appearance, fragrant, biodegradable, safe to use and totally safe for pets and wildlife. It also helps reduces water evaporation and loss, and promotes healthy plant growth.
Each 1.7kg bag will treat 1.2sq m (1.5sq yd).
