I’ve used patio cleaners for a few years and they do make life so much easier. My new generation version is even better. Simply dilute in water and spray onto any outdoor surface. And that’s it. No scrubbing or pressure washing needed. In a few days the green algae growth starts to disappear (black lichen takes much longer, a few months, but it goes too!). Once the green has gone, it stays away for months. For best results, apply anytime from spring to the autumn when the temperature is above 10 oC. Spray on a dry surface, on a dry day when it won’t rain for at least 6 hours.
- Works fast. Green algae growth on timber and paving starts to disappear in days. Black mould takes longer – 3 months or more.
- Works on all hard outdoor surfaces. Including patios, decking, block paving, drives, tarmac, fences and even fabrics like patio umbrellas and the roofs of soft top cars!
- No scrubbing or pressure washing. It really is that easy.
- Kids and pets should be kept off the treated area until it has dried.
The pack contains 2 x 1 litre bottles. Although it can be diluted at a rate of 1:20 for slight greening of some surfaces like wood, I strongly recommend diluting it at 1:10 (so the two bottles will treat 55 sqm) or, for really bad algae growth at 1:5 (treating 30 sqm). A second application, one to two months after the first treatment, may also help control bad contamination.
