Kelvedon Wonder is an easy to grow, reliable first early, early maturing pea variety. Developed in Essex, back in the 1920s, this heritage variety forms short, compact plants that produce heavy yields of well-filled pods and tender, tasty peas. It is ideal for successional sowing throughout spring and summer. Being short, it doesn’t need much staking, making it perfect for small gardens and growing in containers. Unlike some other varieties, it shows great resistance to common problems, such as pea wilt and downy mildew disease. Sow from March to June to harvest from June to September.
